PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE WORKSHOPS
(Based on Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised)

WHY PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE?
Organizations that conduct business meetings should have rules that clarify the proper procedures to follow. Because Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised is used by most organizations; it will serve as the parliamentary authority for this workshop.
INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS
This will be a lecture based introductory parliamentary procedure workshop. Participants, however, are strongly encouraged to ask questions.
WORKSHOP LENGTH
Five to six hours of instructional time is recommended for large groups. This can be held over two days, two to three hours each, or in a single one-day workshop. Workshops for smaller groups may require less time.
WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE?
An appropriate space, yourself, and if the workshop is done over one day instead of two, appropriate refreshments.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
- CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION A personalized Certificate of Completion will be awarded to each participant who successfully completes the workshop.
- FREE CONSULTATIONS Every person who completes the workshop will be entitled to FREE telephone consultations for one year.
- HANDOUTS Each participant will receive a folder containing single-subject handouts of fun facts, resources, and areas of parliamentary procedure that are obscure or confusing but very useful to know.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
The instructional fee is $500.00 for up to 30 participants. Additional participants are $9.00 each.
Additional fees for transportation, lodging, and meals will be included for all workshops held outside of Kennebec County, Maine.
